Tom Petters, accused of a massive investment fraud scheme, has been in jail since early October. No "house arrest" for him.

But of course his team of lawyers want a change of venue and release from jail for him.

Stick up the corner grocery store? In the slammer.
Rob folks and charities of pensions and investments, a la Bernie Madoff? Free to troll the street of NYC and sleep in his own bed. It's our dual system of justice.

We'll see how long Petters stays in jail.

1. You have to steal enough to buy your freedom.
I guess 3.5 billion isnt enough you have to steal 50 billion.
