Poll question: What is Your Opinion of Tweety?
Tweety is at times hated and loved on DU, so I wanted to test the Tweety waters at our current moment.

Me...I'm a Tweety apologist...I love the guy.

So I end up watching him many evenings. I just wish he would monitor his meds better - I can tell when he's not "right" because he gets so hyper and odd acting.

8. Dipshit
Worst interviewer ever
Full of himself
Shallow
Horrible
If he's not talking, it's not interesting to Tweety.
Even if he has moments of coolness like today, they are far outweighed by his incompetence and suckitute. If NBC tried, they could not find anyone more unqualified to be on a political show.

So, put me down for 'hate him' I guess.

Very annoying and rude for someone who's supposed to dispense information. He likes the sound of his own voice, I think, and that's mostly what you get on his show. :(

14. Tweety seems to be a genuine split personality.
It's hard to forget his sickening mancrush on Chimpy, especially in the "Mission Accomplished" days when Matthews was spewing crap like "we're all neocons now" and talking about feeling something in his leg or his pants or whatever it was when that goddamned moronic monkey was on screen.

He's certainly been better in the last several months, but is it genuine, or did he just look at Olbermann's success (and Rachel getting her own show) and decide he wanted to be associated with the Liberals?

17. I don't hate him but the term "Buffoon" comes to mind.
Hate is reserved for Savage, O,Reilly, Beck and the rest of the talking heads.

I have no respect for Tweety's views because he doesn't actually have any of his own.

He is wherever the wind blows.

24. I think he's bi-polar or something.
Somwetimes he gets it right (when he agrees with me) and sometimes he gets it terribly wrong (when he doesn't agree with me).
He gets it especially wrong when George Bush makes his leg tremble.
Or was it 'tingle'?

26. Sometimes Tweety needs to be put back in his cage

If you let him out too long he becomes too talkative and mischievous.
Tweety is, for the most part, a good-natured character happily spending life in his cage or a nest. However, when a cat or other adversary threatens him, he can become downright malicious and devious, even kicking his enemy when he's down. In many of Tweety's appearances the bird is shown accompanying his owner
General Electric. He's comedy gold sometimes

I do not always agree with his opinion. But he's a good guy. And I appreciate the important role he played in the Plame scandal, even after Rove made a harsh call to him at home, and the OVP was lobbying the heads of NBC to silence him.

One of the worst offenders in the MSM.

I mean he has gotten much better in the last 2 years. But he really declared a fatwa on Democrats for a long time. Some of the false barbs he directed at Gore, Kerry, Hillary, Bill and even the President are painful to remember.

35. To me, "love" is reserved for family members, close friends, dogs, cats and horses
"Hate" is something I try very hard to avoid.

Tweety doesn't belong to either category. I'd have to say I don't like him very much.

He is to politics what Dick Vitale is to college basketball. A hyperkinetic moron. But without Vitale's dopey charm.

in that time he seems to have become much more thoughtful and measured. he's less Less emotional, and I think that has served him well.

Of late I'm liking what he's been saying about our President. I think I've noticed a change in him since he's been hanging with KO and Rachel some. Just about the time you think you got him figured out he'll say something that'll blow you totally away, that I know.
