5. 1) Insidious, insipid, incensing
2) Nothing except in rare cases where I feel like doing something while the computer is booting.

Today I flipped to CNN and was disgusted by the flagrant partisanship of the redheaded anchor. It was to such a degree that I was shocked, and I expect very little in the way of balance or good things from CNN. I made a thread about it, something I never do: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=389&topic_id=5139350&mesg_id=5139350

3) If the internet went offline forever, AND CNN returned to a balanced and intelligent discourse on politics, instead of either claiming balance while leaning towards the right and the status quo, or blatantly being unbalanced. OR if they stopped doing that and covered real news events that occur worldwide all the time, yet somehow go unnoticed by all the cable news networks. They are as pretty as possible and as stupid as possible.

Morning is not my tv time - I get ready for work and am out the door...

Now if they brought back the Ted Turner days I'd watch it again in the evening. Right now it's corporate crap....

11. I watch CNN until they start with their iReport and twitter
Edited on Fri Feb-27-09 12:26 AM by question everything
I want to watch the news, don't care what stupid viewers have to say.

Still, our RW boss recently transmitted what he heard in his network of, oh, so important CEOs etc. And someone said that a person's mood for the day is determined by what he encounters the first 15 minutes so one should not watch CNN in the morning.

This ought to be worth something, if RWers see CNN as the enemy.

OK, to answer your question. I think that as far as news go, CNN is pretty balanced. Certainly more than Fox of MSNBC, as much as DUers adore Olbermann and Rache.

But if they resort to iReport and twitter, this means they do not report the news, they just hook viewers with the hope that they will have their 15 sec of fame. This is when I turn it off or switch to MSNBC.

12. (1) Fluff (2) Inaccurate (3) Unprofessional
If I am watching TV in the morning I suffer through Joe Scartissue on MSNBC only because they tend to have interesting guests.

For me to watch CNN more often they would need to lose the "magic wall" as well as everyone who thought that the 3D image crap was a good idea.

Their whole approach is not appealing to me in the least.
