The GOP is worrying about the budget ?
I was one of the millions of Americans who (regrettably) voted Republican in 1994 because we honestly believed what the Republicans said: ie, that they wanted cut spending and balance the budget. But that didn't happen. Instead, they cut the governments income, started wars and "borrowed" our country into destitution. Now those same damn hypocrites are once again bitching about the budget. This is the first mention I have heard of the budget since 1994. Have they no shame ?

"I have serious concerns with this budget, which demands hard-working American families and job creators turn over more of their hard-earned money to the government to pay for unprecedented spending increases," said Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.

1. The GOP is suddenly concerned about a bunch of things
that they've been unusually silent on for at least the last 8 years. I would be laughing if there weren't so many idiot citizens out there who are so easily fooled by this disingenuous concern...and the fact that the media isn't calling them on it.

3. It Was Much A Lie In 1994 As It Is Now
All you have to do is look back at the 80's...Raygun spent like a druken sailor and if it wasn't for Tip O'Neill he probably would have spent even more. The more the government borrowed, the more interest was earned by their banking buddies...thus the defecits were a nice bonus. There never was "fiscal responsibility", it was a code word for "don't spend on them, spend on me".

Here's a fun question...when was the last time a repugnican president presented a balanced budget? Maybe Hoover or Coolidge. While they hate the social welfare system, they sure love the corporate one...claiming "being strong on defense" as their smokescreen for throwing billions at their contractor buddies and reinventing political language that was very effective...that was until george booosh came along and showed how utterly corrupt and incompetent these "ideals" and their real intentions were.

The GOOP thinks Americans are stupid...say a lie enough times and people will believe it. For nearly 30 years, they were right.

4. They're worried because those at the top now have to pay...
their fair share of the tax load. The bottom up burden is now the top down tax burden. You can only fund the budget when you have tax revenue. I sometime think Republicans really don't want any government, at least any they have to pay for.

5. Republions are Borrow-and-Spend radicals
And their Borrow-and-Spend wildness is one of the major factors that flushed America's economy into the crapper.

Republicons use the word 'conservative' to describe themselves, but it is just a propaganda meme. Their actions and track record show they are Borrow-and-spend radicals in love with the idea of passing on debt to America's children and grandchildren
