Lou Dobbs showed his true right wing colors last night
He came on ranting about the fairness doctrine, calling it anti-free speech doctrine. He, of all people, should know better, but he thinks he can get away with lying to the American people.

I had thought, for a while, that he was kind of middle of the road. Now, I know better. He's no better than Rush Limbaugh.

1. He vascillates back and forth...
largely depending on the issue at hand. I'm indifferent to him.

2. So advocation of censorship is left wing now?
Personnally IDGAS what people want to listen to. Only taxpayer funded radio should be regulated for fairness.

9. The airwaves are a limited commodity, owned by the PEOPLE
That's why the government, through the FCC, grants licenses to broadcast over the PUBLIC airwaves.

No one entity should be able to purchase a monopoly over the PUBLIC airwaves. That's what the Fairness Doctrine was designed to prevent.

Cable? Satellite radio? Fine. They aren't using public assets.

3. I think Lou is a schizophrenic with bi-polar disorder ...
... and he's getting to be about as hopped-up on caffeine as Chris Matthews, lately, too.

One of these days his head is going to explode from his ranting and 'astonished disgust' at everything he disagrees with.

4. Lou is bi-polar at the very least
On a couple occasions I've decided to give hate brown people lou a second chance. Neither turned into a full hours of watching. His voice does for me the same thing that limpknutts's does,:puke:

5. Um, yeah, it kinda is anti-free-speech.
Lou's a right-wing nutjob, but I don't think there's anything right-wing about saying that government control of what private radio stations can broadcast is anti-free-speech.

8. Here's Lou Dobbs' finest moment.

Lou hates the Fairness Doctrine because CNN'll hire a recent immigrant from Mexico at half Lou's salary to fact check everything Lou spews on his show. His greatest fear is that Ted Turner will realize CNN can get the truth for half the cost of Lou's lies, and then Lou will have to hit the strawberry fields for an honest days wage.
