To all the Repub Govs who want to turn down unemployment money:
You won't have to worry about maybe raising taxes because you will be out of a job.

If you think you political values (excuse me, I mean Presidential hopes) are more important than the people in your state, you're going to get a wake up call in the next election. We can all see through your facade and we won't forget the time you abandoned your constituents for political "gain."

Don't put the burden on your state legislatures. Be a leader, make the hard choices and take care of your people!

2. Yep - Arnie (R) isn't turning down the cash
Of course, given the history, it would be the irony of ironies if he did

3. I guess, considering his chances at the White House
he can do what's right, instead of what the GOP wants...

4. That and he ran against Gray Davis' budget - so having a worse budget would not look good

5. Yes, sigh. I had higher hopes for him. But he's a good administrator, just not a leader.
But living here, I don't think even a leader could make a difference. The best you can do is try to keep people from doing too much damage to others in the state.

East Tennessee, the land of right-win radio and stone-throwing anti-tax mobs.
