Bush/Cheney/Rove -- Vicious beasts are most dangerous when cornered.
IMO, we are at a very perilous moment. This mal-administration is coming unraveled, but don't expect them to throw in the towel. We've seen their brutality, their heinous crimes and their lack of any human compassion. And they have no intention of ever being held responsible for any of it.

What can they do to hold off congress and (what's left of) an independent judiciary? The scenarios are endless. For example, they could claim that terrorists are planning attacks on three or four major cities simultaneously, declare martial law, and ..., well, you can figure out the rest from there.

I've seen postings on DU that, for a variety of reasons, they couldn't pull off something like that. Sorry, but I believe they could. If the majority of the populace can be frightened by color-coded warnings, imagine what would happen if they believed U.S. cities were in imminent peril.

I am not saying that any of this will actually take place. But I am saying that this is no time to disregard the danger presented by the criminals who have stolen our country.

1. Let them try it -
I believe that THAT would truly be the end of them.
The people in this country would not stand for it.
We're stupid, I agree with you on that, but not THAT stupid.

2. They can kiss my ass with their martial law..
Who will enforce it?

Blackwater goons? They better bring quite a few if they plan to shut down my neighborhood.

3. Admittedly, they're plenty vicious -- even when *not* cornered . . .

But I don't think this is anywhere near the Fall of Berlin for Schimpanski and his goons.

Bush knows his "legacy" is wrecked and that he's not going to get much done over the next year and a half, but I don't see signs that he's desperate. Remember -- he's a profoundly shallow personality, and I'm convinced he's saying to himself: "Dang. This president biz didn't work for beans. Dang."

Other Licans may be more unhinged, but I think they all believe that -- at worst -- they'll have to slink off into the sunset (by sunset I mean mind-bogglingly rewarding corporate sinecures) rather than being ridden out of town on a rail or sent in shackles to The Hague.

So they're dangerous -- but not a lot more than they've been for 6 years. (Unless you're talking about invading another country -- no way could they put that together at this point.)

4. They most likely do not feel cornered in the least.
They skate thru everything.

They have all the resources in the US available to them and many who will lie for them. And all the courts have been bought off. Even the SC.

What's to worry about?

6. Tell them two breasts to quit staring at my eyes. Oh, beasts. Damn!
The Republicans rallying call is "there hasn't been any attacks since 9/11" so if there is they are screwed.

9. I think so too, but right now, they are against the ropes, hopefully
they will get caught in them.

7. That won't work anymore. "We're fighting them over there so we don't have to fight them here."

Remember? IF we are ever attacked while these thugs are ruling...THEY will pay for it BECAUSE of the above quote that every freakin' Rush Limpball Dittohead has repeated over and over and over and over for the last 4+ years. I also think the Democrats are onto them and their lies and plots. They won't get away with anymore of their bullshit TERROR! TERROR! TERROR!
