1. I'm thinking they're more of a joke than you're thinking.

2. I don't know
My family threw me an incredible Tea Party for my birthday this year. It was great. Maybe I'm missing something, but what's your issue with tea parties?

3. oh my LOL - no, not that kind of tea party. I'm talking about the "protests" going on all over the
country today by the Republicans who are opposing the stimulus.

Not to be confused with a regular tea party :)

4. Well, even if you're thinking they're a big joke,
They're even a bigger joke than you think.

I'm betting that at least half of those who show up at these things didn't even vote in the last Presidential election...you know...protesting the RINOs or something. Or they were too busy. Or something.

Of course for every one who shows up at these tea parties, there are others who don't show up. In fact, they're scared to leave their moms' basements. It's a harsh, cruel world out there, you know, and you could get, you know, attacked if you go outside. Better to type something.

6. We need to have some "tea parties".
Really ... with the government making deals like the Citigroup one today, maybe we need to do some protesting, too.

7. It's a big joke. Asheville had ten people, with stupid signs.
A big joke.

8. Well I had a friend over a couple of weekends ago for "tea and crumpets".
We had a good time, stuffed our faces on my two kinds of fabulous scones, drank tea, and got caught up on each other's shenanigans. Not sure if it qualifies as a "joke". Probably not.

10. They're stupid Freeper attempts to hijack another thing
from the left unless you're actually serving tea, preferably with cakes.

Fortunately, the silly ones seem to be generating as much enthusiasm as other Freeper attempts in the past few years.

11. Someone posted here that the Chicagoteaparty.com website was registered August 2008
Before Election Day, before Inauguration Day, and before President Obama signed any executive orders or bills. This was planned long before anyone had anything to be outraged - just like the Obama impeachment site that went up before Obama ever started his run for President.

12. They talked with an organizer
Of one of these "parties" this morning on MSNBC. The guy was talking about how unfair it was to pay for their neighbors house, etc. When he was asked about the fact his house value could go down, he said only if a person wanted to sell right now. Then it was pointed out to him that if you tried to get a loan on a home that was over priced you couldn't do that now. She also asked the guy were his home was and he said, "I live in an apartment"! What a joke! They guy said he was planning on running for office so I guess it was all about getting some free PR. He was also asked how many people would be showing up and he said "maybe" 75! Can't remember the city he was in, but it was a large one.

All this is about is the idiots that caused this mess are trying to get the attention off of them, and put it on those getting help from the government, and trying to paint Obama's plan as taking from the rich to help the "losers"! The real "losers" are those who caused the problem, not those who fell for the con job given them on how they could refinance later for a "better" loan because their home "could only go up" in value! I know one of those con artists, and he is now selling vacuum cleaners door to door because he was let go when the bubble burst!

13. we had a tea party for my daughter and her friends when they were
in kindergarten

they all dressed up, looked so fancy, sat and drank their "tea" from little cups so properly...

an hour later they were all flying and flopping all over the living room and on the floor!

it was fun for them pretending to be little ladies for awhile and then they turned back into kids!

gotta love 'em.
