3. The only reason I voted for Kerry was because he was the Democratic nominee
I was a Dean man in 2004, myself.

If this is about Edwards' new home, I don't have any problem with it.

4. Sweet.. The home does not the man make
If people want to debate his character that is another issue entirely.

7. In the best tradition of Lloyd Bentsen to Dan Quayle:
I know John Kerry.... John Edwards is no John Kerry by any stretch of the imagination. Kerry has creds in many areas, and of all of the IWR voters, I think that vote bothers him the most in his heart.

13. Hopefully not being John Kerry will mean he'll have a different electoral
outcome than Kerry's. :-)

15. Hopefully it will find
him using his talents in the administration as a cabinet member because he wins one more primary than he did last time. Best I can do because he is not on my list at all!:)

11. Why is only political suicide to be rich if you're a Democrat?
Nobody seems to have held the massive wealth of the Bush-Cheney crime family against them. At least the Democrats who are wealthy got theirs legitimately and didn't steal and rape the entire nation to get it.

8. If Edwards is fighting on our sides, I don't care what kind of house he has.
Big, small. Fancy or a dump.

I care about what he does, and not how much money he has in the bank.

Same with Kerry. Or Obama. Or Hillary.

You can be rich, and still work on the side of the average American.

14. Dont confuse ....
DU 'freakout' with unelectability .... I love DU, but it is rarely the last word on matters ....

LOTS of people love Edwards, and would gladly vote for him .... So he has a nice house ? .... He's earned it ....

This kind of statement is all about fallacy .... a complete non sequitur ...

16. Willing? WILLING?
I was so disgusted voting for them, that I placed my paper ballot aside for a week before I could finish that damn arrow to their names.

There was no "willing" about it. I was forced out of fear of El Mono.

Screw the mansion. Little johnny boy is now cheerleading for bombing Iran!

Have you met this guy? Have you spoken w/him face-to-face?

18. The hairs on the back of my neck not only stood up
but they were screaming when I met him. For once I was glad I was in the hospital in 1998 so that I din't have to vote for him.

It din't take too long for me to know I was correct. He did nothing for his constituents, unless it helped him.

When and where did you meet him?

20. In general, I don't care about the damn house
It's none of my business where anyone lives. I think the concern people have is how the public and media will perceive that house. Edwards' message is so powerful because it's an "us vs. them" call to action. The media and his opponents are going to jump all over the appearance of Edwards turning into a "them". It doesn't matter if it's fair. If Edwards becomes the nominee, we all need to be prepared for this type of attack.

To answer your question more directly, Kerry owned up to the fact that he was part of the liberal elite. Whenever he mention the Bush tax policy, he admitted that he benefited. For him, the wealth was a privilege, and with that privilege came an obligation to help the average citizen. If Edwards starts talking about his money in a more straight forward manner, I think everything will fine with his campaign.
