installing pay toilets on their planes....I thought, why stop there..what else can they charge for?
What would they most likely get away with to generate more income?

1. Triple prices for uncotnrolled children
Note I did not say screaming or unhappy children, just those the parents are not trying to control.

2. Too subjective. Who gets to decide what is "uncontrolled"? You? n/t

3. I actually think its pretty clear in the situation
I have a great deal of empathy for the parent who is trying their best to calm a crying baby etc. Its those let their spawn kick the seats, scream unabated, and run the aisles that should be paying deeply. I also know its not possible, but its fun to dream.

I have seen revenge taken on such parents by other passengers. Best ones seem to involve wine/grape juice or loud remonstrations.

4. I feel left out. I've flown literally hundreds of times and never had the experience you describe.
I never get to hear the freepers in the grocery checkout line either, or at the bank, or anywhere else for that matter, as happens to a handful of DUers quite often.

Do you have children? Your use of the word "spawn" instead of "children" would lead me to believe you don't. Tripling the fare for a young lady with a three year old who's expected to sit perfectly still and quiet for the time it takes to fly across country seems a little mean spirited to me. A dream to you maybe, but certainly mean spirited to me.

7. My real issue is with the parents who do nothing to control their children
And its not just on airplanes. I well understand that there are times when controlling a child is just not going to happen. That is a far cry from parents who do nothing to try and control misbehavior and expect the rest of us to tolerate it. I have children and grandchildren. They have never been allowed to freely disturb others.

8. I hope you'll forgive the assumption.
And, I am in agreement with you on "do nothing" parents. As you said though, there are circumstances and situations that make controlling a child or children near impossible.

I had to giggle: "They have never been allowed to freely disturb others." My first thought was that you must be related to my dad. I remember very vividly being with "the men" (something that was dear to me, being the only boy in the family) out in the garage after a holiday dinner. I might have been about five or eight, I don't remember that part. I put my two cents in, interrupting the conversation. I think I still have the knuckle-marks above my left ear.

9. Flotation device. Pre-paid. As a form of insurance. Non-refundable.

If you buy and don't need it; oh well.

If you don't buy it and need it; oh well.

edit: I should note I'm thinking generic airline a la carte items; not specific to this one airline.

10. They already charge for pretty much everything on there.
They're an ultra, ultra-low cost, ultra, ultra-low-frills airline catering in brief hops across the British Isles and nearby European cities.
