Michelle Obama gives America a First Lady we can look up to

It has been a VERY VERY VERY long time since we had a First Lady with the smarts, street cred, and beauty to command the attention worldwide that Michelle Obama does. Just the fact that she is showing up on magazine covers everywhere, she isn't afraid to do things differently (aka the sleep over), and that she is smart enough in her own right to run for President some day makes me smile at the thought that the dead end GOPers can't touch her without pissing off America.

You go girl, kick ass.

4. I met this woman 2 years ago in Hanover NH at the very beginning of Obama's

campaign and she made me smile them. I've told this story before so forgive me if you have heard it:

She arrived before her husband and had the 2 girls with her. The kids got spirited away and she began to work the crowd. She stopped at me and a friend I was with because my friend told her she had lived in the same neighborhood in Chicago. They compared notes and then, as she began to move on, I said something like "this must be a challenging schedule for you and the kids". She stopped and told me that she and the girls were on their way back to Chicago after Barack's speech because the kids had school and she had a PTA meeting and was responsible to bring the juice.

Not a phoney bone in that woman's body!
