No, I'm not comparing ideologies or policies. They are far from Nazi's.
But, in the waning days of WWII as the Russian Wolves were at the gates of Berlin, it is said that Hitler and his Lieutenants were in the Bunker cursing how the German people had failed them. Fearing that they would go down in History as losers and villains they saw one bright spot. They felt the World would at least remember with thanks them with for tackling the "Jewish Problem". Yes, at least they would be left the legacy of confronting the this "blight".
They were so delusional that they thought their greatest crime was their biggest glory.
What do I hear from Bushites and the Repukes now. Iraq, torture, extra-Constitutional abuses. This will be the the glorious legacy of the Bush years that we will thank him for in years to come. Even now they think that fighting for tax cuts for the wealthy and stopping the Government from easing the Recession is there shining moment, they've "found their voice".
As I said, a delusional mindset.
