ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 28 (UPI) -- A Minneapolis poll worker called as a witness in the state's U.S. Senate recount trial communicated with Republican Norm Coleman's lawyers, attorneys say.

Testimony from Republican poll worker Pamela Howell, called by Coleman to attest to how polling place errors could have led to double-counting of votes, was cut off Friday when she revealed she had communicated with Coleman's lawyers via e-mail without telling the attorneys of Democrat Al Franken, The Star-Tribune newspaper in Minneapolis reported.

"It's … clear from these e-mails that a very conscious decision was made by counsel not to disclose Ms. Howell's statement," said Franken attorney David Lillehaug.

Coleman attorney Joe Friedberg told the three-judge panel hearing the case that "clearly the e-mails should have been disclosed" but that they were "blown a little bit out of proportion," saying the e-mails were an innocent mistake from a young lawyer who'd never tried a case.

It was the second time in three days Howell, considered a key Coleman witness, had been removed from the stand after challenges by lawyers for Franken, who had a 225-vote lead in the official recount.

He does not seem bothered, in the least, that his obstructionist behaviors to thwart a legal election leaves the good people of that state under represented at a very critical time in our history.

He is all about assholery and trying to breathe life into the GOP obstructionist agenda to work on restoring the middle class and future for workers in America.

He needs to do the right thing and admit defeat. Or the people who are denied proper voice in the Senate should just hound his ass until he can't go outside.

from the Coleman campaign. Maybe one mistake by Franken people?

Sounds like the Franken lawyers are not making any mistakes in the way they observe and object to the tricks of the Coleman lawyers.

Sounds like the Coleman lawyers are flipping plenty - it's difficult to keep up with them. And isn't that the way Republicans have run things for eight years - changing reality. White is black. Day is night. We gotcha and our media friends are helping.

7. Until the court gets sick of Coleman's pettifoggery

There's nothing that's going to stop him. A sense of decency? Hah! Embarrassment? Not a chance. Cost? It's not coming out of Norm's pocket. Consideration for the people of Minnesota? They don't matter to Norm Coleman.

There's no incentive for Coleman to cut this short. As soon as he gives up, he loses. And there's no penalty for keeping things going. As long as the case is on life support, Franken is denied his seat in the Senate, and that's where Coleman's concern begins and ends.

At this point, it's up to the court to make a meaningful ruling or set an immutable deadline for the presentation of evidence. As long as the panel doesn't say "Enough!" Coleman will keep going and going and going.

progressive AM station, the court is pretty clearly getting fed up with this crap. Normie is doing nothing but slowly hanging himself with the court at this point. Can't remember the blogger's name, but he's on every night at 5 pm.
