1. Oh brother
Had me thinking, why don't we say "Dogs sick as a human"?

8. Because dogs are notorious for eating over ripe fare.
And then depositing it on your livingroom carpet.

Dogs are carrion eaters. I believe that they have an inbuilt defense mechanism, which causes them to throw up meat which is unsafe.

2. This whole situation make me so furious
that I've called companies I was considering switching to, for my critters' food, to ask which ones use Menu Foods as a manufacturer. Just found out Wysong, another "premium food" does. I'm about to start cooking for my pets myself.

Damned corporatists!

3. Somebody in here yesterday was pushing Wysong
which is a brand I've seen from time to time in health food stores.

The bottom line is don't feed your furry friends wet food for now.

Pampered pets may object to a diet of kibble, but they'll live through it.

5. I'm going with Pet Promise because they say in so many words that they don't use

Menu Foods at all. And give sources for their ingredients.

I especially like that they can name the supplier for their meats and grain ingredients. This gives me more confidence than even companies who claim they use "human grade" ingredients, but don't name their suppliers.
