Hey, whatever happened to the investigation of Lieberman's site getting hacked?

Reading that McCain's myspace page had been hacked (read here) made me remember about Lieberman's website getting hacked and that Lieberman's campaign group would be calling the FBI to investigation.

Then some people said it might have been a false-flag operation to try to make Lamont look bad, and it just got real quiet from the Lieberman camp after that.

What happened to that anyway?

2. If I recall correctly it was self inflicted damage.

holy-joe's IS folks underestimated capacity demand and their site crashed from overuse on election day. It wasn't hacked, they were a bunch of fuckups.

7. The Lieberman campaign acknowledged as such, eventually, very quietly

The media played along by keeping the truth a secret after broadcasting the lie far and wide.

9. Yup. They were basically running the site on some cheap "starter account" type of setup.

It might have been fine for an obscure blog or somesuch,
but as a major Campaign site, it was a sadly underpowered joke.

An average 15yo could have told them it wasn't up to the task.

That's what raised questions about whether the LieberVolk did
this deliberately. ANYONE should have ANTICIPATED that the
site would do exactly what it did.

And it's difficult to believe that everyone involved in setting
up a website could be so monumentally incompetent, particularly
when the predictable result of that incompetence just happens
to provide a nice smear of their opponent.

8. Lieberman's site was never hacked

His campaign manager paid for webhosting on the cheap and the page crashed because it couldn't handle traffic. They called it a "hack" because they're idiots.
