Can Cartman save Hillary?

Hillary Clinton will be in this weeks Comedy Central’s South Park. In an episode called “The Snuke,”
the town of South Park is preparing for Hillary to stop by for a campaign rally.
At the same time Cartman thinks that a new Muslim student is a terrorist about to target Hillary.
While the town prepares for Hillary’s arrival, the clock keeps ticking “24? style as Cartman uses his
own methods to figure out how to stop the terrorist threat to Hillary.
But as Comedy Central asks, “could the plan to target Hillary Clinton be just the tip of the iceberg?

It will air on Comedy Central March 28th at 10:00 p.m.

I await the southpark republicans view on Bush or any of these criminals in this administration,
but I will watch this because you know it will be news.

1. "They attack Republicans as much as Democrats"
Is what you will hear in defense- but I dont see it.

I'm no Hillary fan, but you are right- these teenaged "Wunderkinds" attack DEMS and Liberals all the time, they hardly ever go after the pukes...

2. I don't see it either
they used to have the juice but are becoming the Dennis Millers of Cartoons
I don't like Hillary either but you are right. I wonder how they will play out
the 24 fascist show.

4. It was my impression they went after everyone
Maybe I've missed a couple of episodes, but I don't recall they've ever given me the impression that they're friends of the WH.

6. Did you miss last weeks episode?
There was an evil vice-president Cheney look alike who shot and killed a woman by shooting her in the face (sound familiar?) The administration of lice was all the bush-bots, adverse to the hero's warning of impending danger, (climate change?) And whenever people argue they never go after Repukes, I cite the war protest episode, "I'm a little bit country."

All the anti-war crowd was made up of the towns teachers, scientists, kid's parents, aka, inteligent rational people. The pro-war crowd was all the dumb rednecks. Check it out.http://www.peekvid.com/video/1017/14133/Season-07---04:-Im-A-Little-Bit-Country.html

The one thing they refrain from doing is attacking Bush, which people have a problem with. But they never went after Clinton either when he was in office. I think they have more of a respect for the office of POTUS, regardless of who is in charge. And Trey and Matt are basically the personality types where they try to do the exact opposite of what everyone else is doing. They live in LA. Bush/Repuke-bashing is basically the cultural norm. They actually think they are being MORE "punk rock" by refraining from the attacking of Republicans. If in some parallel universe LA was a republican stronghold, I'm sure they'd do the exact opposite. I think they detest (and focus too much on) the anti-American aspect of the far left as well.

You don't think the 9-11 Truthers deserved to be made fun of? That's a portion of the far left that deserved it.

11. They went after Clinton a number of times.
They've sniped at Bush, too, but not quite to the same degree as Clinton.

9. Parker and Stone are rich conservative Utah Mormons
Their "values" reflect their privileged and exceptionalist upbringing. They can write good gags. Their obsession with gays and Jews (as cliches) is definitely weird. But a couple of times a year, their stuff makes me laugh.

Granted, they have a definite rightward spin, but at least they're no Cox and Forkum. I suppose the conservatives can say the same general thing about The Simpsons, which they watch anyway.

The conservatives are eager to establish themselves in comedy -- Jackie Mason, Julia Gorin, Penn Jillette, and a million ranters against the worst thing since Stalin, namely, the stalwart freedom fighters who risk life and limb to take on the "feminazis" who don't shave their legs or underarms. They strongly approve of racial profiling on aircraft, smoking, and spanking children -- in fact, those are three of the four most common Con-Com (conservative comedy) tropes today. They crack wise against threats to our sacred liberty, including aging hippies, the bourgeois left, and "feminazis" who don't shave their legs or underarms. (I wonder if the razor companies are subsidizing any of this.)

I guess humo(u)r is where you find it.

10. "...rich conservative Utah Mormons"
Uhhhh, I think that they are from a suburb of Denver, and one of them is half-Jewish. Do you have a link to back that up or did you just completely make that up?

17. Heard it in an interview
Sorry, but while TV interviews aren't considered Peer Review and don't come with DOI abstracts, when someone says in an interview that he was raised LDS, I generally take him at his word. In this case, "him" = Parker AND Stone.

Unless they were lyi ... I mean, using sophisticated irony to throw off the "normals" like me.

19. You're wrong, at least about the Utah part.
Neither ever lived there, only Texas and Colorado apparently. And there is no indication that either is a member of LDS. and Stone was definitely raised in a (at least half) Jewish household.

18. They attack fundies more than anything
and are liberal about most social issues.

I think they attack the right more than the left in my opinion.

7. Exactly. And if Cartman isn't a facist right-winger, I don't know who is.
This show is all about exposing hypocrisy and they do it well.

Come out of the closet you liberal freaks : )

I'm 50 and I LOVE South Park.

I think they are sort of like a cartoon version of the Colbert Report, if you get my drift.

Kenny's my fave.

8. Good point.
That was obviously an attack on the ridiculousness of the church's/Republican party's anti-gay stance.

They attack both sides. Not always equally, but they do. Have a sense of humor people!

16. No, and demonstrating the exception doesn't negate the rule
and that is that the show tilts considerably to the right and nihilistic, pro-corporate, and post-Bush-democrats-are-still-as-bad-as-republicans zeitgeist.

Trey especially has always been libertarian or liberal on religious related issues. He's a "Reason Magazine" adherer type. And I hope I'm not repeating right-wing lies but I remember him saying post-Iraq War that he hates liberals alot more than conservatives, even though he doesn't like conservatives.

It's a good little creation. They are definitely not one-note propagandists, as some seem to be saying.

It's really important to observe something before commenting on it. We all forget that from time to time.

Edit: And Butters is as adorable as one thousand baskets of puppies. :-)

15. I always thought Matt Stone was much less misguided than Trey Parker, but he doesn't rock the boat
and would just rather not deal with showing any disagreement.

Since he probably owes Trey slightly more than Trey owes Matt, career wise.

He said that he would vote for Barack Obama, just because he doesn't seem to try to be triangulating on things like smoking and cocaine use. Listen to his interview on Penn Jillettes radio show (shouldn't be difficult to google, you can stream the whole thing).
