I wish I were simple minded.
I wish I didn't worry about things like the world, life, humanity, nature, health, education, peace, the future, the environment, etc etc etc. I wish I were simple minded and held to a few strong beliefs, whether or not they were real or not. It would make things so much easier.

OK, go ahead and call me simple minded. I know you want to, have wanted to since reading the subject line. I wish I was. Sometimes.

3. I feel the same way about compassion.
I wish I could be heartless, shallow, callous, and just not give a damn about anybody but myself. That would make things a hell of a lot easier - but I just can't do it. I HAVE to care. It's part of who I am, I guess, and I can't just shut it off, no matter how much it hurts. And you know what the weird thing is? I'm not sure I would want to, even if I could. Somehow I feel that caring about what happens to others is an essential part of my humanity - but what do I know, I'm just a stupid bleeding-heart liberal. Peace.

8. Exactly.
repugs love ignorance and they're some of the angriest people I know. Maybe not always outwardly, but that inner anger shows through.

No, you don't.....

But, yes, there is something about the old saw, "ignorance is bliss..."

9. I'm glad you're not- I wish no one was 'simple-minded' which when
you come right down to it is more like aloof- or detached.

One thing about being fully alive is that you fully experience everything. Even the not so comfortable things-

Easy is often a great excuse for accepting mediocrity-

I'm glad you are YOU-

peace,
blu

10. I don't think so
The dread of something being wrong would still be there but you would lack the mental faculties to determine exactly what was causing the angst and what it would take to improve the situation.

Simple minded is not for me.
