The ideal home for a Democratic candidate

I mean are we SERIOUSLY giving ten shits what people live in?
I guarantee their Republican counterparts have nice digs too.
Let's save our finger wagging for something important...like what kind of dishes they use.:sarcasm:

2. That's way too fancy. Only a chimpazee nest up in a tree will do.

Jane Goodall would approve as well.

6. Jane Goodall.. reminds me.. Do you watch Washington Journal?
Earlier this week, a freep-woman called in and told her little story about how she tells her 3 yr old about the woman, Jane Goodall who lived with gorillas, but they ended up killing her :wtf:

I laughed outloud on that one.

She obviously had Goodall (chimpanzees) mixed up with Diane Fossey (gorillas)

and the gorillas did NOT kill Fossey.. she was killed by poachers who continued to kill her beloved gorillas..

I kept thinking about that poor little 3 yr old

7. Sometimes I watch it. Yes she did have Jane and Diane
mixed up. I met Jane way back in 1972 at a lecture she gave in Los Angeles at El Camino college. She had at that time been studying the chimps for only five years. She wasn't even married then. I thought she was so brave, a young girl like her going into the wilderness and basically living without too many amenities like hot water that we take for granted. Her take on the chimps was facinating at a time when most of us were only familiar with the species in circuses and zoos.

She showed slides and how she tracked the chimps, who weren't coming out into the open at first, by following their nests, which meant she had to climb trees to determine how long ago they had occupied the nests. Finally, she was able to find the troop and they hesitatingly started to accept her presence after months and months. Such patience that she had that paid off eventually.

I think somebody should write a book about the great ladies of the twentieth century who did ground breaking work without much thanks or even credit for what they did. Jane and Diane would be among them.
