Remember Terrell Owens "suicide" attempt?
We discussed it here regarding the privacy issues and the hospital employees.
I said that I couldn't imagine healthcare personnel willing to risk their jobs for a newspaper story.
Well, I was wrong.

1. I could imagine, but no one had any proof.
Seems the hospital believes it does have such proof. (Guess we won't know unless it comes out in some nasty civil suit for wrongful termination...)

2. This is Texas
they can fire you for whatever reason and you have no recourse.
Of course, this could simply be a publicity stunt to pacify his attorneys...but Baylor doesn't usually sacrifice their employees...especially 6 of them...over something like this.

3. Baylor Medical system is having lots of problems
They are slashing budgets and have a new pres who is a pitbill. They do not follow all state, federal and local laws, at least at a different branch from the Dallas one. There are entire departments of doctor professors that have quit in Houston. They have their hands full with lawsuits there.

4. I'm in East Texas
There is a website that specifically attacks the hospital corporation that I work for.
Right now they are advocating for higher taxes and for the community to buy it back.
It'll never happen but the sentiment is nice.
It is the symptom of a sick healthcare system.
