Gulf Allies Say They Won't Allow U.S. Attack On Iran From Their Territories
ABOARD THE USS JOHN C. STENNIS: The U.S. military on Wednesday wrapped up a massive air-and-sea exercise meant as a public warning to Iran, as a skittish American ally — the United Arab Emirates — joined a list of Gulf countries declaring they would take no part in any attack on Iran.

---
Qatar — home to 6,500 U.S. troops and the enormous al-Udeid air base, headquarters of all American air operations in the Middle East — has already said it would not permit an attack on Iran from its soil.

The Gulf Cooperation Council, a loose alliance of six Gulf Arab states, has also called on its members not to offer support to any U.S. action against Iran.

Gulf Arab nations are increasingly uneasy with the United States' tough stance against Iran, fearing any outbreak of hostilities could bring Iranian retaliation onto them. All lie within distance of Iranian missiles.

6. Or 6 or 8 or 12.
Riddle me this - what happens to a nation that spends most of the worlds money on its military? A huge military BTW, one not rivaled by any other past, present or likely future?

I was told it only takes 4. And we got 12. Holy shit.

8. 4 of them? All assaulting at once? Then 4 more join in.
I think fleeing is more appropriate a term for facing that kind of firepower.

4. Probably not the rest of the world put together.
Our military is not just bigger than anyone else's, it's bigger than everyone else's.

10. And growing. I wonder if we will ever see the horrible full out onslaught
of 12 carrier groups. I can understand why the world is scared of us. We've spent all our money on the military for over half a century. Will we reap what we sow?

18. Now what would you expect our Gulf Allies to say? Especially those in range of Iran retaliation?
All the trips by Dick Cheney to our Middle East allies, and the deployment of defensive Patriot Missile Systems to our Middle East allies, should tell you that there is a quid pro quo between them and the US --and part of the deal is that they publicly denounce any participation in an attack on Iran.

Answer this: Are they going to shoot down our cruise missiles that cross their air space, when we placed the Patriot Missiles there before the attack? You can bet the US got the promises they wanted BEFORE the Patriot Missile Systems were deployed in these countries.

BTW the Patriot Missile Systems are very expensive. We don't just give these out willy-nilly.
