TPM: New documents show false statements were cleared by WH
From Talking Points Memo:

New mini-document dump just out from the Department of Justice -- and just in time for tomorrow's Kyle Sampson testimony.

They appear to clearly show that Sampson attempted to mislead Congress by proxy -- that is to say, he gave false information to DOJ officials who were preparing to provide information to Congress.

Update: And it looks like those false statements were cleared by the White House.

Repub liars being exposed one after the other.

Oversight Hearing on GSA

March 28th, 2007 by Jesse Lee

The Committee on Oversight and Government Reform is currently holding a hearing: “Allegations of Misconduct at the General Services Administration.” The hearing will inquire about allegations that GSA Administrator Lurita Doan failed to follow proper procedures for awarding federal contracts, attempted to intervene in contract negotiations, and engaged in partisan political activities on federal property. We have covered the issues at hand in depth in this post.

7. Shumer's remarks are good! "The plot continues to thicken."...
Reacting to the released documents, Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said:

“The plot continues to thicken. It seems the Justice Department rarely acted without the knowledge and approval of the White House. In effect, the White House was involved in denying its own involvement. This makes the need for Karl Rove, Harriet Miers, and others in the White House to testify under oath, with transcripts even greater.”
