Nowhere can you see the 'gravity' of the war on anyone's face, monsters at the monster's ball, acting like spoiled rich kids, safe, warm, and drunk in their little make believe world, while tens of thousands of crippled Iraq veterans wonder how they will continue with their shattered lives, with missing limbs, with melted faces and an indifferent Veteran's Administration.

Only true monsters could possibly be enough at ease to dance around like clowns, while the whole middle east is about to explode, and the nastiest shit you ever saw is about to happen to America.

These reporters' balls where the President is feted are always such surreal affairs, with reporters and policymakers and stars mingling in an immense ballroom, the wine and liquor of pre- and post-ball parties adding to the Lewis Carol feel of it all. Strange.

Last night the President, as always, cracked wise while the entertainers -- two gentlement from "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" -- got Karl Rove to rap. You can see some of this HERE. The verve and gusto with which Rove threw himself into the rapping was truly unexpected and bizarre.

of their crap on Countdown last night. As important as I thought it was that all Americans needed to see Stephen Colbert's speech at last year's WH correspondents dinner, it is even more important for everyone to watch these sick muthafuckers dance around and joke about ripping the heads off of small animals while young men and women in uniform are being butchered daily and not cared for properly when they come home in pieces. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis are dead, who knows how many wounded and millions are refugees. Their country lies in ruin and the Bush Crime family is poking Iran with a stick doing everything it can to start a war that would devastate our country as well as theirs. On top of all that we have more scandals and crimes within this administration being uncovered than we can possibly count and they shit all over our rights and the Constitution every day.

And they took the stage and danced. People need to see it. Maybe it will make the sleeping masses feel as sick as I did last night and prompt them to start doing something to rid our country of such arrogant criminals.
