Cryptic thank-you note may link Rove to US Attorney scandal
Cryptic thank-you note may link Rove to US Attorney scandal RAW STORY
Published: Wednesday March 28, 2007

A previously overlooked e-mail from the Department of Justice document dump may turn out to be a smoking gun, of sorts, that links White House Adviser Karl Rove to the US Attorney firing scandal, reports Newsweek.

"New Mexico Republican Sen. Pete Domenici's chief of staff sent a cryptic thank-you note to Karl Rove just as the senator was recommending replacements for David Iglesias, the fired U.S. attorney in New Mexico, according to internal White House and Justice Department documents," writes Michael Isikoff.

"Thanks for everything," read the e-mail, dated January 8th, 2007, which included the name of a replacement candidate for Iglesias' position.

The email, which was sent to Rove and two other White House officials, may have been initially overlooked because it was sent to a more obscure e-mail account of Rove's.

2. I just don't get it.
You "hope" Congress fries Rove......what are they waiting for? I can't imagine what more this adminstration can do to absolutely deserve impeachment. BTW, I "hope" Congress fries him too!

4. I surely don't understand the delay, either.
I have to believe that Congress has a plan for addressing all the offenses we've had thrust on us by the Republic/Bush misadministration. Unlike Bush in Iraq with no plan, this plan by the Congress is being carried out in a logical, measured, decisive manner, and all good things will happen given time.

If this isn't the case, I don't even want to think about what that means for us.

5. Trust...I'd like to say I have that with Congress but after they
removed wording from a bill that would have required * to get Congressional approval before attacking Iran, I don't have a lot of trust. I will concede that Congress "seems" to be trying and I have to keep in mind that their plate is more than full.

Bob Barr on CNN now "...who is the toughest hombre in all this." Bull. Integrity, Integrity, Integrity.

We are waiting due to the break to vote on War funding.

Back to the Iglesias interview, "Not every reason is a proper reason to ask a United States attorney to resign."

You will see more of a nexis between Karl Rove of the White House and this."

"The second he said 'productivity' we had to defend our honor and the honor of our offices" referring to the testimony in Congress.
