Chris Matthews is there...all the heavyweights.
Is it so they can IMMEDIATELY spin it back into control if it gets out? Is it because Doan's testimony yesterday is a huge bombshell that isn't being talked about yet?
That's my thought.

2. Doan's testimony is going to be ignored by the press
deliberately

The press knows the RNC rules the government and hasn't said a word for years and years. Doan saying it isn't news to them.

4. Does it make you a little suspicious too?
They had some 'breaking news!' excerpts and it almost sounds like he's going to say, "pleasure of the president, it's all my fault if you misundertood anything and created partisan conspiracy theories in your minds, the president can do whatever he wants!"

9. Or maybe they'll be contemplating how "Democrats are over reaching here"
and then speculate how much it's going to cost them politically. "Witch Hunt" will be the word of the day.

Just guessing.

6. Perhaps They Are Sensing a John Dean Moment
It marked the start of the Nixon endgame.

Sampson also seems like a loose cannon who's getting thrown under the bus by the Administration.

13. I think Sampson is going to TRY and take the fall and the more media covering it

the better for BushInc.

This hoopla about Sampson testifying voluntarily and promising to tell the WHOLE truth, was more campaign strategy.

During 2004 election, Rove would get alot of interest and TV cameras whenever they would drop the hint that someone like Tommy Franks or Gen. Schwarzkopf or Nancy Reagan wouldn't support Bush. That rumor would spread through the media for about a week and then it would make the endorsement rally itself way BIGGER as a media story. Because the media will have already ginned up a storyline about how HUGE a deal it would be if that particular GOP figure turned against Bush, so it heightened the story that should have been another humdrum endorsement.

Considering that Sampson's lawyer is another political shill for BushInc, I expect all the media attention is being ratcheted up to try and END the story today when Sampson attempts to get the buck to stop with him.

And reap the BIG BUCK REWARDS at a later time.
