Her "calm down" comment was priceless.

George Bush has always managed to throw a whiny tantrum in order to get his way.....just like any petulant child. He needs to learn that, in the adult world, childish, whiny, name-calling behavior will not be tolerated.

If he wants to be treated like an adult, he needs to ACT like an adult.

4. I think she looks forward to his little tantrums
and does her best to poke him in the eye in the most subtlest of ways. Standing at the podium, almost as an afterthought, okay little george calm down. I'm sure there will be more to come as he was probably throwing things in the oval office.

7. Nancy was great.
She came across as very professional, very respectful, but also a bit condescending, as if she couldn't believe * was acting like such a big baby.

She was perfect. She has a very soothing tone to her voice, while being firm at the same time.

Contrast that to the whiny, complaining, lying Pubes.

Makes you proud to be a Democrat!

8. I know!
I am the mother of three and I can remember saying the same thing to a kid who was screaming on the floor and turning blue. Just a dry "Calm down." and walk away. If she wanted to keep turning blue, she could do so without an audiance.

14. I remember when my oldest
threw a horrid tantrum in the grocery store. She was lying in the aisle kicking and crying. I just kept adding items to my cart and ignoring her.

When I had to move to the next aisle, I would pick her up and set her down somewhere close to me, so I could see her. I remember getting a few approving nods from older women for my handling of the tantrum.

By the time we checked out, she was calm, if a bit red-faced.

I guess that is why Nancy is standing behind * in that wonderful picture. She is keeping an eye on him while ignoring his worst tantrums. He will end up with a red face, but Nancy will get her work done.

It is too bad the analogy can't be carried all the way through. My kids grew up. * never will.

I had to be firm and mature with my kids, and not engage in a battle of wills. They figured out eventually why we did things the way we did them. With *, the only way to get anything done is to engage in a battle of wills.

I want a grown-up in the White House again.

12. She needs to brush up on her constitutional skills
and enter an inquiry for articles of impeachment. This isn't a game.

13. It. Was. Perfect. What I'd really like to see is
a clip of Bush's petulant comments, accompanied by Pelosi's response.

15. My wish would be to see this on the Daily Show...
showing Bush at the podium (with bonnet on head and rattle in hand) giving his hissy-fit speech about Democrats not funding HIS war.

(Sorry I don't have a link to Pelosi's comments)

17. Pelosi and Hastert
What a difference an election makes! Hastert put people to sleep before he ended a sentence. Pelosi sticks the stiletto in with a smile and people take notes.
