15 British 'enemy combatants' held in Iran...
Playing Devil's advocate

Now that Iran has captured 15 British 'enemy combatants', I assume the radical right supports Iran torturing them, and holding them indefinately without charges.

Sorry, but I have been waiting for the opportunity. It was only a matter of time.

1. It always comes home in some way.
God, I really do hate BushCo and I'm not supposed to hate anyone. :(

2. Will Iran strip them naked and make them pose for
some photos? Why not - the West sets the standard!

3. Yep.
Bushco's "crusade" for "freedom" and democracy doesn't include human rights. The end result is no moral high ground.

7. The United States has never spread democracy anywhere.
That's just code for "we have to find a way to continue to rip these people off."

4. Or some dipshit
conservative military "expert" opining that the british sailor lied because she was tortured. I thought people only told the truth when they were tortured.

5. Exactly...
What do we say now when we find out they were tortured.

Or even better, when Iran releases them without being tortured, and claims the humanitarian high ground.

Oh, the web we weave.

8. You're late.
There have been at least 3 threads and a couple of dozen comments, saying roughly the same thing.

9. I think it's payback for the US detaining Iranians from the embassy
in Iraq.

10. The point is accurate
It's just unfortunate that the people paying the price for the Bush administration's subversion of the law will be folks such as the British sailors. Bush, Cheney, Gonzales, Yoo and the rest of the criminal cabal will never be subjected to the lawless regime they've created and implemented.
