Paging research/legal gurus: looking for complete list of corporate officers
I'm trying to find a complete list of corporate officers for a small company incorporated in Campbell County, TN several years ago. I did a corporate record search and this only listed one officer's name. There may indeed only be one, but that's what I need to find out.

This involves my father's recent passing and me making sure he isn't listed on any loans, or listed as an officer of a corporation, any longer concerning this particular business entity.

I've used several of the online background checking sites today. Anyone know of any reliable sites which could provide all of this information? Or free government-based sites where I might access this information?

Thanks

2. Wouldn't the SEC have that information or the Secretary of the State
of Tennessee?

4. Thanks - I did get my initial information from their website
I'll call them to see what I can find out. The corporation is listed as inactive, my dad isn't listed at all as an officer, but his former partner is saying my dad's name is on a loan, a loan taken out in the name of the corporation.

Can a loan still be in the name of a corporation that is inactive?

5. Yes it can
Small corporations have very little public paperwork. The secretary of state will have the initial directors and officers, but that is about all it will tell you. Anyone can go guarantee a loan for a corporation and their name won't show up on the public records of the Secretary of State.

I would go talk to the banker and ask to see the loan documents to see if he guaranteed the loan. Whoever is handling his estate needs this information.
