15. can we stop global warming without first (or simultaneously)
addressing economic injustice? Isn't the exploitation of nature and people the underlying engine behind our environmental problems?

to come up with standards all the big corporations will have to follow on CO2 emissions. Even those at the top want their kids to live in a beautiful world. They are not that stupid. Even if they were that stupid, our congress has the power to make changes.

4. Environment-hands down-I also think the environment and poverty are inextricably linked
Edited on Sat Jan-27-07 02:00 AM by nam78_two
I think those two issues are of the exact same importance but I am convinced that environmental problems will make the class war wayyy worse.....
So #1 is equally important as an issue to me but I think # 3 will make # 1 worse...

But then #2 makes both #1 and #3 worse..Ok I am getting confused...;). Good night...

7. Aren't they all the same issue?
The rich exploit what they can, including poor people and natural resources; they use war as a tool to get more things to exploit, and the exploitation of resources and the warmaking causes global warming.

10. pfft
I can't believe DUers are choosing "Global environmental change" over "The Class War."

I guess our politicians aren't the only people out of touch with reality.
