A new logo for the memory challenged Republican party.
Considering the many various memory problems Republicans have had recently (Sampson used "I don't remember" a stunning 122 times), It's probably time they did a little soul searching for a new symbol. The elephant, an animal known for it's top notch memory, just doesn't cut it with the current "I can't recall" Republicans. So lets try a goldfish.

4. I never made the connection.
Elephants never forget. Republicans are apparently very forgetful. Therefore their logo is no longer appropriate. I like it, it's a meme we need to get out there. It will stick in people's heads and they'll remember this strange wave of "forgetfulness".

But I'm not sure about the goldfish. Am I missing something? Are goldfish known for being forgetful?

5. That's what i've heard.
A goldfish supposedly can't remember past 30 seconds...Or something like that. Mythbusters did a show on it.

9. However, goldfish recognize their owners...
...so they're certainly sentient beings. That aside, I agree with the "memory challenged" symbolism, at least - but maybe something else would be more fitting. I hate to smear any animal by association with the Rethugs. How about an oil well?

15. The way I just read your post ...
"... so they're certainly sentient beings" certainly cannot be said of most repukes.

16. Exactly.
Which is why I'd prefer an inanimate object to symbolize them.

7. Their canonized leader, St. Reagan, "couldn't recall" an awful lot of things too.
And that was BEFORE the Alzheimers.

14. You made me go look it up
that's so unfair ... It's been a long day and I'm trying to listen to George Costanza lie to Schumer!

It's DORY actually. A cute movie ... the last in the original 6 film agreement between Pixar and Disney ... until they merged anyway.

Thanks for making me refresh my memory. I shall not forget her name again. :) :hi:

    Being a parent I also know Pixar intimately (although not enough to spell Dory's name right, hehe) let's hope that Lassiter lifts Disney up to his level and not the other way around.. :toast:

18. I vote for an Ameba (with false feet) .... see pic...

The ameba is one of the simplest of the protozoa. It can be found in ponds and rivers and on the surface of the leaves of water plants. It looks like a grayish blob under a microscope. Its shape is constantly changing as it moves along.

One characteristic of the ameba is its false feet, that scientists call pseudopodia. The false feet extend out and then the rest of the body follows the false feet along. The ameba eats little animals and plants. It sends out its false feet to surround the plant or animal and then pops it right into the cell!

Enjoy the visual...
