Bush accept's Republicans Iraq resolution
Are they, did they, just do an end run around the Democratic lead House?

5. OK, thanks.
Met privately with House Publicans, huh? Says Junior deferred to the Congressional leadership. Earth to Junior: Your lapdogs are not the leadership any more. Get it? Ah, those were the good old days, when it was so simple to summon the loyal GOP subjects so they could receive their Congressional agenda to follow.

Bush has opposed earlier proposed congressional resolutions against an increase in troops, but facing broad resistance in Congress he appeared willing to go along with this one, the officials said.

Looks like a win-win. Junior's cronies write the legislation with benchmarks that even he can easily achieve. Wouldn't hurt to throw in a couple of Karl's favorite slogans while they're at it. Something with 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentence would be good. Groveling GOP members of Congress scurry back with their instructions to boycott the Democratic resolution against the war in favor of their bag of air. Said GOP politicians get to assert in 2008, "Yessir, I voted to hold Junior accountable for the Iraq war. Sure held his feet to the fire. Just look, I voted for the Bag of Air Resolution that Karl wrote."

2. I don't think so...
The dems resolution will still go up for debate. This republican one may not get far.

6. No meaning.
Still has to go through the majority party. Bush can accept whatever he likes from the Republicans...question is, will the Democrats buy this POS resolution?

7. Bush meets privately
with Barney and concurs to stay the course.
Bah what rovian nonsense. I hope the leadership tells
Bush to cram that "resolution" where it truly belongs
