Scumbag!

via Atrios:

SAVAGE: It's becoming increasingly clear to me that God wants radical Islam on this planet at this time -- that it's not actually the scourge you think it is. What it is -- it's a counterpoint to the Romanization of the United States of America and the West. The collapse -- the spiritual collapse of the West, the death of the West in that regard, is being countered by the birth of fanatic religion, which is fundamentally a fanatic love of God, when you think about it.

<...>

SAVAGE: And God, who is the center of this monotheistic religion, has said, "Oh, you don't worship me anymore? Oh, you don't like me anymore? Oh, I don't exist anymore? Really? All right, I'm going to show you boys in Hollywood and you girls in New York City that I do exist. But since you're very hard-headed, stiff-necked people, and you don't really believe that I exist because you've gotten away with everything you've done all your life without any repercussions, I'm going to show you I exist in a way that you can't believe." Down came the World Trade Center towers. That was God speaking.

12. he has said many times that part of the reason the "Islamofascts" hate us
is because of how widespread liberalism is in this country. Things like tolerance of gays, abortion, etc. It make them angry, and becasue of liberals they see us as infidels.

Basically, you could sum that up by saying that Savage apparently has the same social views as Al Qaeda.

Savage made his Worst Person list with that comment (I think he actually made it last week). Olberman skewered him pretty good, paraphrasing, "First it was the fault of the democrats that the Trade Centers came down, then it was all of the muslim world, now you apparantly get voice mails directly from God. Could you at least stick with one delusion??"

Gotta love Keith...

That's who was renting space in the Towers, isn't it? The Towers symbolized the financial might of Corporate America. God could have knocked down high-rise apartment buildings if He wanted to symbolize destruction of average Americans. And weren't those planes owned by Big Corporations?

And hey Weiner, why did the Repugs loose control of Congress? Think maybe somebody forgot to ask God before claiming He was on their side? Dems take back House and Senate, THAT was God speaking.
