University of Toledo: Alleged point-shaving scheme (football)

Former University of Toledo football player Harvey “Scooter” McDougle was charged today in federal court in Detroit with taking bribes while playing in games for the college.

An affidavit filed in U.S. District Court in Detroit said Mr. McDougle was among other unidentified football players who participated in a point-shaving scheme in return for money.
