Apart from the travesty which is the extension of the 3rd brigade combat team from the 10th Mountain Division, there is some happy news. Several hundred, as many as 700 I hear, troops did come home from Afghanistan tonight.

Afghanistan is overlooked, but in all honesty, I don't have such an issue with our involvement in Afghanistan as I do with an illegal pre-emptive war in Iraq...
That said....it's always good to hear a little good news...700 alive and not wounded/maimed and coming home for awhile
