Dems in Congress (Kucinich, Durbin, DeLauro) take on the Menu Foods pet food recall

Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) sent a letter to the president and CEO of Menu Foods Income Fund March 23 asking for detailed information explaining the contamination and subsequent recall of Menu Foods' pet food products.

Sen. Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) and Rep. Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) sent a letter to the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration March 23 asking for full details of the investigation into the pet food contamination.

I know that this is relatively "old news" considering, but it's good to see these folks taking on an issue that obviously has a great number of concerned folks out there. If this has already been posted, my apologies for the dupe. I've been a little out of the loop here, due to issues with my own animals.

I hope this puts the pet food out of business.

To someone like myself, I never had children, my pet became my children. i lost 2 to kidney failure and I'm nursing my 3rd. I will lose her too, how deeply it hurt to even write about this.

I am a true blue animal lover, so there will be a time I adopt again, and pet food will never touch their lips.
