Torture Testing Procedure...can someone explain to me how we
know that doing certain awful things for a certain specified amount of time is or is not torture? How do we know that giving a detainee a certain amount of time between abuses is not or is torture? How do we know these things? Have we been doing research? Is there a Center for the Research of Torture in the United States? Where did the Bush Administration get the basis for these torture memos? Did we get this stuff from the Natzies? These are lawyer's memos, right? As a lawyer, I am trained to have and cite my sources. Where did these gouls come up with this stuff?
