what would you like to be in a new US Constitution?

Would you keep the current presidential system, go to a semi-presidential system like France (executive power is split between the president and prime minister), or a parliamentary system like Germany and the UK (the presidency is mostly ceremonial)?

Should Congress have one or two houses? How should each house be set up?

Should Congress be filled by Winner-Take-All as is now? By Winner-Take-All plus run-offs? Proportional Representation? a mixed system using both Winner-Take-All and PR like in Germany?

How should the SCOTUS be set up? Should justices be elected or appointed? Have set terms or have lifetime tenure?

What should the relationship between the federal government and the states be? what powers should only the states have? what powers should only the federal government have?

Should national referenda, initiatives, and recall elections be allowed? Should constitutional amendments be ratified by the state legislatures or by majority vote?

What should be in a new "Bill of Rights"?

3. Pretty much keep it the way it is

only make all political appointments subject to approval by the opposition party in Congress. That one will avoid one party rule.

Recess appointments to be done only in time of national emergency, specified as attack on any or all of the 50 states by a foreign power, massive natural disaster, or financial or infrastructure meltdown. Make those appointments contingent on approval by the opposition party in Congress as soon as Congress returns. If Congress fails to address it, the post will be vacated in 30 days.

Add the ERA to the Bill of Rights. Make abrogation of any of the provisions of the Bill of Rights subject to charges.

Force the registration of all PACs favorable to a foreign power (such as AIPAC or PACs influenced by Saudi Arabia) as foreign agents and regulate them accordingly.

Amendment to cover the right to every citizen to his or her own body concerning matters of birth and death and self medication in the meantime. In other words, codify the protection of reproductive rights, the right to refuse end of life medical torture in favor of the right to as comfortable an exit as possible, and end the drug war.

Amendment to establish a national health insurance program with no opt outs for the very rich.
