General says U.S. Army has lost 130 helicopters in Iraq and Afghanistan s

The U.S. Army has lost 130 helicopters in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, about a third to shoot-downs, its aviation director said Friday. He complained that industry is not replacing them fast enough.

"The U.S. is not at war, the military is at war," he told a group of Defense Department reporters, also complaining about the timing of how money flows from the government to pay for the purchases. "Industry, you have got to get to the point of where you're producing ... faster."

1. Anyone know how many of those belonged to the NG?
I'm just wondering about how states will replace them.

Will there be enough NG helicopters in all states to aid in emergencies...search and rescue, evacuation, logistical support for communities in crisis to get water, medicine & food, fighting forest fires, etc.?

3. Former Nazi SS General Wally Dornberger helped sell a lot of them
during the Vietnam War as VP of Bell Aviation, retrofitting and privatization has kept a lot of them flying for mercenaries, criminals and dictatorships all over the world. Maybe some are available in that region.

I support our troops by actively trying to get them home and providing truth to combat the information warfare that has been here at home since this administration was installed.

Donald Rumsfeld et al. share a lot of characteristics with former Nazi SS General and Bell Aviation VP Wally Dornberger-you'd think they might want to help find some rotary wing aerial platforms for OUR military.
