Romney Asks: WWJD?
That's "What Would Jeb Do?" - if he weren't a Bush:

Romney suggested Jeb would be a fine nominee (or running mate), if his name weren't Bush: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=romney+jeb

1. Blah...........
I keep hoping that the American people will wise up and never vote for a Bush, ever again, for anything.

2. let me write Mitt's name off my list of possible candidates
anyone who would be actively promoting Jeb Bush at this point in time does not get a vote
of confidence from me.

6. I know that but if it came down as the lesser of two evils
one would have to choose the best candidate, I know I could not vote for any candidate that
defends the Bush family.

3. Message to Romney ...

You would be a great candidate for the Republican nomination if you weren't a Mormon and an abortion flip-flopper.

The talking heads can say what they like quoting national polls of 'Americans'. The nominations are made by the parties and there is not a snowballs chance in hell that the religious zealouts that elected Bush will elect liberal Republicans to be their nominee.

4. Be Fair
The MittFlopper has flipped on all kinds of other issues besides abortion, e.g., gay rights.

8. That's the answer right there, Miss Waverly. Thanks!
I was wondering why Romney would say something so stewpid. It's because he's down in the polls and is frustrated that a "liberal" like Giuliani is kicking his ass. Still, there's a HUGE vacuum in the Right Wing of the GOP and Romney's trying to figure out how he can fill it. This is a pitch for the rank-n-filers who love Jeb but realize Dubya is rivaling Harding for worst fuck up in Republican history.

11. McCain the Floperizing FlipMeister ...

I think the McCain the Floperizing FlipMeister was closer to the Republican norm before he stapled his nose into Bush's ass. The idea that this field of "leaders" could be nominated by the Republicans is just nutty to me. I think they're polling "Americans" instead of "Republicans".

Now I have heard that Pat Robertson has had Romney on and talked nice and pretty with him. This in itself is not surprising as Robertson doesn't have any real values, he just knows how to sucker the rubes out of their money. What is amazing to me is that people who have had their Fundamentalism ground into them would all the sudden take Robertson's bullshit and his sweet talking with a Mormon who just recently believed in gun control, stem cell research and abortion. He's the governor of Assachussetts, and he's OK ... says Pat.

Now I don't believe like he does but the OTHER Pat DOES actually believe in something. And when Buchanan gets done with this Republican "field" there will be a lot of blood on the debate floor. There is NO WAY IN HELL that you can run a pro-choice Republican with three divorces in the BIBLE BELT!!!!

Fundamentalism has never made sense and it has never worked. But the pure power of belief armors it's adherents against any realization that they could possibly be wrong. I don't believe that even Bush's colossal fuckups can change these people's minds. They may be unhappy with Bush because he's not delivering what he said he would. However, would the Republican party really give up cold turkey on chants like "Queer, Baby Killer, Wimp, Pinko" and so forth and run SOCIAL LIBERALS as their nominees?

I don't think so. And if Giuliani or Romney does somehow manage to get the nomination I think you'll be staring a third party candidacy in the face in the form of Buchanan or ... whoever.

10. I'm rooting for Mitt!
Edited on Sat Mar-31-07 05:55 PM by EdwardM
Please win the primary Mitt. We need a Republican ticket composed of a Mormon and a Bush. That will be the best thing to ever happen to the Democratic party. GO MITT GO!!
