Tina confronted Congressman Obey and he called her an idiotic liberal. Midge stood behind Valerie Plame and wore a pink IMPEACH t-shirt while Plame testified on national TV.

Tina Richards has an idea. Tina is the mother of a Marine scheduled for his third tour of duty in Iraq
who took on Rep. David Obey (Dem., Wisconsin) and the Democratic leadership over funding for the
war. Though her home is Missouri, she's in the process of moving to the Washington, D.C. area to
keep up the fight to end the war. Her idea is simple. Bring 10,000 concerned citizens to Washington
this summer to lobby their Congressional representatives and counter the ten thousand paid
lobbyists who ensure that ours is the most lavishly financed and most seriously immune to change
legislature in the world.

Hi everyone,
Well, I went back to Nancy Pelosi's office to follow up on her meeting with the peace community. After 8 hours of waiting in her office, I was threatened with felony unlawful entry and a one year stay-away order from the capitol. Still it took four Capitol Police to escort me out of the building before I left.

Bev Smith of The Bev Smith Show, the largest African American radio talk show in the nation said she would join me when congress comes back for recess to demand Nancy meets with us. She also invited her listeners to join us. As Nancy is a frequent guest on her show, she is very upset. There is a number of African American radio stations that will be promoting this.

I will be providing more details. UFPJ is endorsing my, "Get the Votes" campaign to get 10,000 people here in May June and July to "get in the way" and get the votes needed to sign real legislation that ends this war. We will be setting up housing boards.

I hope any and all can join me. If you can't join me, then send some $ so I can get others here.

I'd LOVE to go back to DC but probably a better use of me is to work here in Nancy's district.

Whaddya think? 1) I need to set up a weekly vigil at the Federal Bldg (her office is there) and 2) We need a speakers series to talk about impeachment. All the people who have been ignored or abused by BushCo could table at those events -- Vets, the Coalition for the Homeless, groups working on the Gulf Coast, etc.

9. I know Tina would appreciate it if you would call Pelosi on the carpet about

her staff threatening to arrest a military mom. They told Tina that if she was arrested, she would be banned from visiting Congress for ONE YEAR.

It's time we held the congress critters' feet to the fire. Nancy Boyda's aide came to a political event here last night and I let him have it. He listened and told me to please continue putting pressure on her about Iraq. He fucking agreed with me!! And he has Boyda's ear. He said even her husband would agree with everything I said. I was just floored!

He said the pressure is WORKING!! Congress knows how pissed off we are. The Dems are afraid of losing their base and the repukes are desperately trying to find theirs.

I also talked to another rep who admitted to me that the pressure from his constituents resulted in him agreeing with Lee's amendment!

The one most important thing for us to do right now is DON'T LET UP!! I am meeting with my pro-war Dem congress critter this week while he is home.

I will be in DC on June 18. I have no idea how long I will be there. Maybe a few days, maybe a few weeks. I have no firm plans until July 13, when I need to be back home.

I am also sending Tina and Midge what money I can spare.

And I am going to Crawford for Easter. 4 more days!! Can't wait.
