Good numbers on Keith, though. He's supplanted Matthews as the face of MSNBC and is closing in on CNN's viewers.

FNC GRETA 1,689,000
FNC SHEP SMITH 1,381,000
FNC HUME 1,336,000
CNN KING 1,062,000
CNN DOBBS 874,000
CNN COOPER 756,000
MSNBC OLBERMANN 712,000
CNNHN GRACE 646,000
MSNBC SCARBOROUGH 510,000

3. Just cause it's on does not mean they're watching.

My mother in law has a TV in every room each tuned to a different (generally annoying)channel and she rarely sits down and watches any of them. I think it just keeps her from being lonely but it drives me nuts when we visit...Maybe she's the person who is keeping fox's numbers up...

4. Did KKKarl help with this poll?
I can't even watch Faux. They've been nothing but mouthpieces for Bushco from the get-go.

These numbers can't be right.

8. MSNBC is not as widely available on cable services as Fox
Here is Siskiyou County CA my DEM friends in Yreka with cable tell me that Fox is available and the MSNBC is not. They had never watched Olbermann and were amazed to hear that there was a progressive newscast available daily. I have DISH so it is available. I don't know how widespread this situation is.

10. Yeah, don't feel too bad for Keith. For where MSNBC is available, he's doing well.
About a year ago, if he got 350,000 viewers, that was a good night. Now he's up to topping 700,000...almost as good as Anderson Cooper and Lou Dobbs.

It will be interesting to see the effect his contributions have on ratings of the NBC Nightly News, whose audience dwarfs any of this.
