and I got some wonderful responses and PMs when I wrote my theory - that it's a psychosexual pathology driving all of this. The men - and we'll just ignore Condi, because everyone did - are terribly maladjusted sexually, and the idea of being in power where torture is concerned played to the darkest, most dangerous, most forbidden parts of their respective psyches.

It's no accident that all these men have like-minded political philosophies and it's also more than a little suspicious that 9/11 would take place so quickly after they assumed power. They certainly were ready for it, with the Patriot Act already written up - surprise! - and now the news that they were gearing up to torture anyone they could grab before it even made any kind of twisted sense.

Because twisted is what they are, and so captive are they to these forbidden and hitherto unrelieved compulsions that they went forward as quickly as they could, secure in the camouflage their power would afford them. No one gave a damn about obtaining "information"; they just wanted to have torture performed, and they wanted to see the pictures and hear the stories. God only knows what kinds of videos exist, and you can just imagine how those men were all closeted by themselves, individually, all alone, relieving the stress of a lifetime, finally able to indulge in their most cherished, most forbidden fantasies come to life.

I have no doubt that this is precisely how we got to today.................................

and was kind of surprised when I surfaced in March of 2008 to learn that we had a new AG. Then I found out what happened to Gonzo. This video is yummy, so thank you. I'd never seen it all put together quite so beautifully.

He was such a dupe, and it would be a certain kind of poetic justice if he were the one to turn on all the others. Alas, I suspect he honestly doesn't know enough to be of any help, another epic fail for Gonzo who will lose again.
