6 troops killed in Iraq today
No, this is not an April fool thread.

http://www.alertnet.org/thenews/newsdesk/L01142031.htm

But the biggest April fool of all is the idiotic notion that the "surge" is working.

God curse George W. Bush.
May he burn in hell.

2. According to "official sources" it's bound to get better someday.
We just have to give it more time.

3. "Surge" = more troops available to die
Or be maimed, psychologically damaged etc. All the while coming home to inadequate--or perhaps non existent health care. I'm still in amazement over Walter Reed. Not that it happened. I'm amazed anyone was surprised. I'm a nurse, I've asked many I know in health care, "Were you surprised?" Not a one. Not a nurse, MD, social worker. And I live across the country from Walter Reed

So all those freeway walkway flag wavers "supporting the troops," what's up with that? Haven't they even been inside their Local VA hospital or nursing home? They had no idea?

Makes me ill.

RIP to those who gave their lives.

7. Six more Americans died in Iraq today. The word "troops" takes the humanity out of the facts.
Maybe that's why the use it.

6 Americans that most like have left loved ones grieving for them, and now these loved ones lives will never be the same.
