Queen guitarist Brian May is to give his first ever private lesson after a punter bid over 7,500 pounds to jam with the star in an auction to raise money for Brazilian street children.
The rock legend, best known for creating the riffs on "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You," will deliver a two-hour tutorial at his home following the auction in London late Wednesday, which raised over 30,000 pounds.
Along with bidding for the lesson, nine guitars that were custom-designed by leading street artists in Brazil and Britain were auctioned in aid of the Action for Brazil's Children (ABC) charity, of which May and fellow axe-man Jimmy Page are both patrons.
"I have been a patron of the ABC Trust for a number of years," the rocker told the charity's website. "The work they do with children and young people who are forced to live or work on the streets of Brazil makes a real difference."
A further three guitars are currently being auctioned online to raise several more thousand for community projects to help Sao Paulo's most needy children.
