CDC testing 8 possible swine flu cases in Florida including 1 in Orange County (Orlando)

Florida Surgeon General Dr. Ana Viamonte Ros said labs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now are testing a total of eight possible cases of the deadly swine flu virus from Florida.

Sterling Ivey, a spokesman for the Office of Gov. Charlie Crist, said Pinellas, Palm Beach and Alachua counties reported potential swine flu infections.

Ros made the announcement this morning during a news conference in Tallahassee.

Crist described the cases being tested in Florida for swine flu as having a low "severity index" -- meaning they are mild infections of influenza.

1. Aw jeez. My sister was just in Orlando for a conference and came back on Tues.

I hope she didn't catch anything. She'd feel real bad if she was the one to bring swine flu to Milwaukee, especially since she works in a large hospital. Oy.
