Will Karl Rove EVER appear before the Congressional Committee he was subpoenaed by?
Edited on Fri May-01-09 10:14 PM by bertman
This has dropped off the radar screen amidst all the flu and financial brouha.

I'd like to know what the House is waiting for. Or are they just doing another "reaching across the aisle" dance?

Does anyone know the latest?

2. No he won't ever answer to anything..
We'll see his smug little traitor face on the TeeVee forever though, just like Tom Delay. When is that little fuckface's trial anyway?

3. I saw Conyers last week at our Jeff-Jack dinner and asked him about it
He said Karl will be giving a deposition -- they're still working out the details. I don't know why it's taking so long, but according to Conyers it will happen.

The first thing I asked him was "Are we going to get these guys?" He gave me that look he gives and said something like "Oh, yeah." He's not going to give it up.

10. Conyers is very slow. I love him dearly, but I think he should
make way for someone more energetic. He just seems too tired, too slow in everything he does.

5. Subpoena? He wouldn't show up if his children were being held hostage inside the room

I have it on good authority that if things get too intense again, Karl will abscond to some barrier island where he will await further instructions.

7. Call me crazy, but I think he will.

I think we're on that road, and it's a long, slow one. I have a hunch he'll be in very hot water and anxious to comply with every legal request sent to him within a couple of years.

9. ALL the Bushies will live in luxury and comfort the rest of their natural days.
Unfortunately.

I don't believe ANYTHING will EVER be done to make them accountable for ANYTHING.

11. Stockholm syndrome. The Democrats are scared of angering
the Republican bullies. They are just trying to hold on. That's why we are not getting the change we voted for. And Obama is trying to pull them into the present, but it is a tough job. Also, Obama is infected with that Stockholm syndrome himself.

Where is the "We have nothing to fear but fear itself" philosophy?

12. No, C. Rove and the other seeds of Satin will not have to answer to anything
Edited on Sat May-02-09 03:05 AM by Az_lefty
at least not for now, it's simply the world we live in...evil wins. Those who are good & decent tend to struggle and at best do OK...but as a life long Christian I really believe there is Hope and Good will ultimately triumph...I just wish it was now rather than later.

15. I called and talked with the staffers of the Judiciary Committee...
The guy on the phone yesterday (I call them once a week) said that the lawyers are poring over the documents they have gotten to make sure they ask all the questions they want to ask.

The guy the week before said that Rove was dragging his feet on agreeing to a time.

IOW, we're getting the run around.

17. No, he won't, but some nobody without a power base who tries the same thing will have the book
thrown at him.
