Today's right-wing nutjob LTTE (from the Philly suburbs): Democrats are ignoring the Constitution!
Original is here, along with the comment section:

http://www.dailylocal.com/articles/2009/05/02/opinion/srv0000005237479.txt

I don't even know where to begin.

"With the complicity of a willing media and urging from radical liberals, Democrat politicians are re-engineering the fabric of our country and ignoring the U.S. Constitution. They have dismantled much of what we know is great about America and their 45-year experiment to socialize our country has been a slow, agonizing disaster. They casually discard the historical importance of God in our society and they destroy our moral foundation.

The career politicians of both parties have violated the trust we have given them and do little to preserve the greatness of our country. They invest in future votes, and not in America 's future. They go where the money is and help special interest groups such as the unions and the PACs. Their uncontrollable spending is bankrupting our country.

With no resistance from business-as-usual "RINO" Republicans, the Obama-Pelosi-Reid gang has grossly overplayed their radical hand to buy more votes and legislate equal outcome. The Democrats ever-growing entitlement base breathlessly wait for Obama to pass out the goodies of his wealth redistribution scheme. His economic justice agenda punishes success and rewards failure.

The Silent Majority in America is finally waking up from its 45-year slumber, and they don't like what they see. If the tea parties taking place across the nation are any indication, the Democrats brief rein at the top will quickly come to an end.

We must pursue principles and values that will make our country great once again such as: individual liberty and self-reliance, personal initiative and free enterprise, victims' rights and personal responsibility, strong national defense and the enforcement of our laws, reverence, respect, compassion, responsible spending and lower taxes, limited constitutional government, tort reform, school choice and civil rights for everyone to include minorities and the unborn.

1. See, there really are aliens from another planet.
They have to be from Planet Idiot in a different space-time continuum than ours.

3. 45 Year Slumber?
Where was this teabagger throughout the 80's and the past 8 years?

BTW...chucko, that 1971 "Silent Majority" Nixon refered to kicked his ass out of the White House 3 years later. But it's a "majority" he wishes were a "majority"...it never really was.

What he fell for was a PR stunt...a game where he was led along as being always supressed and blaming "libruls" for it happening while never noticing how screwed over they were getting by their own "leaders".

The Majority DID wake up last year. It's why Barack Obama is President. It's why there are rushbpublican minorities in both Houses. It's why there are only 21% of Americans who identify with their corrupt party.

But when all you do is listen to hate radio and watch Faux noise, it's easy to believe up is down.

6. Did you see this comment on Ray's screed?
Ray - I'm tempted to take your letter point by point (e.g., in what specific instance have Democrats ignored the Constitution?), but your overall theme is what's so wrong. That is, you somehow see the will of the majority being subverted by a wily minority of liberals. In fact, the opposite has happened, with a very large majority of people supporting our President and his agenda. It is your group of tea party attendees which is a dwindling minority.

Yes, your group can still shout in the wind, but you have already chased out all but the most radical among you. In her syndicated column today, Susan Estrich made this very point, noting the disappearance of the traditional moderate Yankee Republican. As she also said, the proportion self-identifying as Republicans continues to shrink, declining another 4 percent since just March.

That you can turn out something like 250,000 across the country for media-promoted parties is a sign of weakness, not strength. That was actually a pitiful showing. One email from Obama's organization could turn out ten times as many on the worst day of the year.

It is time for your side to not only realize its declining influence, but to figure out how to adapt. The same old position of "no" just won't work. The actual majority of Americans - silent or otherwise - want more.

8. Well according to George W. Bush,
"The Constitution is just a goddamned piece of paper."

DU rules do not permit posting of the source link, but if you want that info you can either google "goddamned piece of paper" or PM me and I can send it to you.

9. Through simple observation, I've always found it easy to believe the worst of the Bush Regime.
They haven't disappointed me yet.

10. If you don't want frickin' socialist policies then stop being greedy assholes who screw people over
Greed and profit is the reason we're in this mess. These people got to act like 5 year olds let loose in a candy store and get away with whatever they wanted for the last 8 years. To say that all people who are rich are rich because of noble hard work is bullshit. And to say people who are struggling are just lazy and looking for a handout is even bigger bullshit. I know some VERY VERY hard working people who are barely getting by and have been this way for years. It's time for supernanny to come in and lay the smack down on these fat cats since they obviously can't do the right, decent and moral thing willingly.
