Sibel Edmonds: Turkish Ergenekon/Susurluk suspect avoided drug bust wi call to state dept...

There were a couple of articles in the Turkish press today that asked Sibel Edmonds about details on an attempted heroin bust in New York by the DEA in the mid 1990's of a noted Susurluk scandal and now Ergenekon scandal figure, Yaşar Öz, who had a call from the State Department during that time to let him escape arrest and fly back to Turkey. One can only speculate why he was let go and who in the Clinton State Department might have "helped" (someone who was also in Bushco with the initials "MG"?)...

Here's the original article by Yeni Şafak (in Turkish)....

And another article as well on this story (also in Turkish):

If you look up, Yaşar Öz, he just claimed on Friday that the Susurluk scandal was more than a car acident and there was an assassination involved as well.

Çatlı victim of 'convoluted' links, claims Yaşar Öz

Yaşar Öz is serving a jail sentence for his involvement in the 1996 Susurluk affair.

A mafia leader who is serving a jail sentence for his involvement in the 1996 Susurluk affair, which exposed links between the Turkish state, the criminal underworld and Turkish security forces, has said Abdullah Çatlı, another mafia boss who was killed in a car accident in 1996, was actually assassinated.

Çatlı, a leader of the ultranationalist Grey Wolves group, was killed in the 1996 traffic accident near the northwestern township of Susurluk. The incident revealed that Çatlı actually worked for the state, carrying out intelligence units’ “dirty work.”

Yaşar Öz, currently serving jail time for his a gang membership conviction that arose from the Susurluk investigation, on Friday made a six-page statement, following the court appearance on Friday of Mehmet Ağar, who was police chief at the time of the Susurluk incident.

Öz said Çatlı was "killed" in that accident because of his "convoluted" relationships and that the accident was "fictitious."

...

From the sounds of it there may be more articles later on US involvement in this scandal later... Stay tuned... We shouldn't let this die, as the M$M surely will let it die or avoid it.
