Sarah Palin is splitting the Republican Party right down the middle.
And there is not a lot left to split. But, many establishment Republicans - like Romney and Jeb Bush, including some that want to be President themselves, are attempting to forge a bloc to promote their own candidacies, at the expense of Sarah Palin and the more conservative voters. This has caused Rush Limbaugh to react and he has come out in favor of Sarah Palin. She is the only "true" conservative left to run for the highest office, in his opinion. Fireworks are starting. This could be very interesting... :-)

1. Isn't that sorta like splitting the atom?
They're so cute when they're desperate.

2. Where can we donate to her cause?
As far as I'm concerned, a split GOP is a good thing.

11. I'm Thinking The Same Thing...
I'm thinking the same thing. Should the Wasilla Diva start winning GOP state presidential primaries in 2012, I intend to help her campaign move closer to her winning the nomination.

For all you right-wing lurkers out there--do you remember when Republicans donated to the Ralph Nader campaign in 2004? This is where we progressives return the favor.

3. Remember when DU found out she was the VP pick?
I admit to being one of the many truly concerned DUers. It's fun to think back and laugh at how silly I was for thinking she could actually be a threat to anyone other than herself and her party. :D

14. And, back in 1980, a lot of Democrats
were happy that Reagan won the Republican nomination instead of the more moderate George Bush, who had denounced Reagan's "voodoo" economics. They thought Reagan was too radical to win in the general election...

family values. Can't get elected without "family values" The good thing is not having to hear that over and over and over. I will never say it again.

6. Very interesting
Limpbaugh has painted himself into a corner. He needs to support the white trash ignorant candidate because of her support from his listeners. The problem is corporate money will need to go to other candidates. Ass Hannity is in the same bind, should be fun to watch.

9. Yes, this could tear them to shreds
They have had their own internal campaign against moderates for a long time now, but the base prefers Palin, the money guys don't; and Rush is the leader of their party and anyone who doesn't like Palin will owe him an apology or the aren't a real Republican.

This could be tremendous! What if some of the Republicans actually try to break the iron grip of Rush? These guys might decide to use their guns on each other instead of us, militia civil war.

8. They really need a conservative Christian spinoff party.
Or declare the GOP officially one.

Either way, they are splitting.

If not for SCOTUS, Florida, and Nader, they would have split in 2001.

16. They need to dress one side in gray, and one side in dark blue, and hash it out on the battlefield
Whoever is left standing can decide the direction of the Republican Party. Years later, Ken Burns can make a multi-part PBS documentary about it.

Mittens, Jebbie, the Huckster, Ron Paul and God knows whatever else crawls out from under a slimy rock somewhere vs an aging Sarah Palin. Throw in Rush, Michele Bachmann, Joe the unlicensed Plumber and a cast of thousands of angry white morons and that's party.
