1. I don't think we should rip Dom Deluise
not today anyway. The man just died. Show a little class, at least for one day.

Does this complete the trio?

2. Sad to see him go.
Poor Don Bluth is going to need to find a new voice actor, too.

4. Cannonball Run outtakes were funnier than the movie
Once he got a case of the giggles, there was no stopping him. His laugh cracked me up.

5. From the beginning of his movie career, his characters were memorable.
In 1964's "Fail Safe" he nailed a dramatic bit part in which he portrayed a lower-level NORAD officer who was ordered by his superiors to reveal to the Soviets how to destroy the US Air Force's SAC Vindicator bombers which were on their way to drop their payloads on the USSR. Dom expertly portrayed the anguish which his character felt in that situation. As the 1960s went on, he hit his stride with comedies. His supporting work in "The Glass Bottom Boat" (another cold-war scenario) put me in stitches. Farewell to a great actor.

Mae West's last movie, made when she was 85. Of course, the fabulous Mr. DeLuise simply had to be in it, too.

7. A magic moment of his was in the Twelve Chairs.
"Oh, boys!"

Also loved him in The End with Burt Reynolds (even though the critics hated it).

9. A wise guru once said that our lives should make people smile, our deaths should make them sad.
Simple description of virtue, but it fits Dom very well.
