5. This photo is pretty amazing. Think back a few years -better yet 8 years back.
The ONLY liberal/progressive hosting a cable show was Phil Donahue on MSNBC. Ok- and maybe Aaron Brown (I think that's his name) on CNN but he got canned eventually- as did Donahue for being against the Iraq war. But during his show, his panels were made up of two or three conservative guests to one liberal/progressive. Even then, they still pulled him off the air- IN SPITE OF HAVING GREAT RATINGS. Who got the gig after him? I think it might have been Tucker Carlson- not sure exactly but it could have been him or someone like him.

Then came Tweety and things started shifting slightly. Then we got Keith- that's when we knew MSNBC had really seen the light then of course, Rachel. Now even CNN bends to the left on occasion.

Look at the lineup now in that photo. Joe Scarborough is the only non-progressive in the bunch (including Mika). All but one of these people voted for Obama and is to the left (or far left) of center. I wouldn't be surprised if Joe Scarborough voted for Obama too by the way.

8 years ago, this would have been something we'd never even fantasize about. Change has come to America.

9. It is interesting how fast the media can change sometimes, and other times be stuck. nt

7. is it? hadn't looked at any MSNBC TV clips for a while
maybe last week? I don't have TV so I go to MSNBC.com once in a while and have it on in the background when I'm doing something tedious.
